American Toby Jug Museum 

Vic Schuler toby jug produced by Prestige Jugs for Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 1988 limited edition of 1,000. Victor Hugo Schuler (1918-2000) had a lifelong interest in British history and antiques. His 40-year obsession however was collecting Toby jugs. He had a stall on Saturdays at the Portobello Road Market in London and was the recognized world expert on antique Toby jugs, writing two books on the topic. This jug depicts Vic as an Ordinary Toby holding a toby jug in his left hand and one of his books on the subject in his right. Note the churchwarden pipe between Vic's legs and the devil on the handle of the jug.
