Vic Schuler Millennium toby jug Ruby Fusion flambé - Peggy Davies Ceramics 2012

Vic Schuler Millennium toby jug in the Ruby Fusion colorway produced by Peggy Davies Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2012 limited edition of 500. Victor Hugo Schuler (1918-2000) had a lifelong interest in British history and antiques. His 40-year obsession however was collecting Toby jugs. He had a stall on Saturdays at the Portobello Road Market in London and was the recognized world expert on antique Toby jugs, writing two books on the topic. This jug depicts Vic as an Ordinary Toby lifting up a Vic Schuler toby jug in his left hand and one of his books on the subject in his right. Note the churchwarden pipe to the right of Vic's right leg and the angle on the handle of the jug.
