Vervet Monkey toby jug - Ardmore circa 2016

Vervet Monkey toby jug produced by Ardmore of KwaZulu-Natal, South Africa circa 2016. The vervet monkey is an Old World monkey of the family Cercopithecidae native to Africa and found mostly throughout Southern Africa, as well as some of the eastern countries. These mostly herbivorous monkeys have black faces and grey body hair color. Vervet monkeys live in social groups ranging from 10 to 70 individuals, with males moving to other groups at the time of sexual maturity. This vervet is holding a friendly stork at the edge of a pond. The monkey's tail forms the handle of the jug.
