Town Clerk toby jug produced by Wedgwood & Company of Tunstall, England, circa 1950 using its Unicorn tradename. The Town Clerk is responsible for administrative work in Town Hall including the preparation and maintenance of a variety of official municipal documents, issuance of various licenses and permits, and recording various documents and vital statistics. His services are vital for the smooth operation of the local government. The smaller Town Clerk toby jug is model number 755/3 and stands 4" tall.
