Toby No. 2 3/4 body toby jug in a small size and gold luster finish, produced by Shorter & Son of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1930. Toby No. 2 is the Ordinary Toby, the original toby jug featuring a common man of the time wearing 18th century clothing and a tricorn hat. This Ordinary Toby has a flagon of ale clutched in his left hand and a cup in his right.
