Three-sided Standing Toby toby jug stoneware - Royal Doulton circa 1888

Three-sided Standing Toby stoneware toby jug designed by John Broad and produced by Royal Doulton of Lambeth, England, circa 1888. The Three-sided Standing Toby is unique in that the same figure of the Standing Toby is replicated three times around the circumference of the jug. The English registration number on the bottom of the jug dates its registration to 1884. It must have been unpopular, expensive to produce or both, as very few copies have surfaced over the past thirty years, and therefore remains quite rare and valuable.
