Thief toby jug produced by Roy Kirkham Pottery of Tunstall, England, 1980-1983. A thief is a person who steals another person's property, especially by stealth and without using force or violence. "Tinker, Tailor" is a counting game, nursery rhyme and fortune telling song traditionally played in England. It is commonly used by children for "counting out", e.g. for choosing who shall be "It" in a game of tag. The verse is: Tinker, Tailor, Soldier, Sailor, Rich Man, Poor Man, Beggar Man, Thief.
