The Warlock face pot prototype - Kevin Francis 2004

The Warlock face pot prototype wearing a green robe produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in 2004. A warlock is a male practitioner of witchcraft. The word warlock derives from the Old English waeloga, which meant "breaker of oaths" or "deceiver", and was given special application to the devil around 1000. In early modern Scots, the word came to be used as the male equivalent of witch.
