The Lawyer lighter designed by Max Henk and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, from 1962 - 1974. A lawyer is someone who, through many years of challenging education and successfully passing a professional exam, is licensed to practice the law. This learned lawyer pleads a knowledgeable and convincing case to the jury. Dressed for court in a horsehair wig, cravat, and robes, he skillfully develops his argument, his tone on minute accusing and the next cajoling as he persuades his audience o the justness of his case. In Britain, the lawyers' dress has not changed since the days of Queen Anne, illustrating the depth and tradition of their profession. A quill forms the handle of this lighter.
