The Devil face pot prototype blue trial colorway produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, 2006. The devil is the personification of evil as it is conceived in various cultures and religious traditions. He is seen as the objectification of a hostile and destructive force. Jeffrey Burton Russell states that the different conceptions of the devil can be summed up as a principle of evil independent from God, an aspect of God, a created being turning evil (such as a fallen angel), and a symbol of human evil.
