The Devil face pot - Kevin Francis 2006

The Devil face pot produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2006 Artists limited edition. The Devil is the personification of evil as it is conceived in various cultures and religious traditions. He is seen as the objectification of a hostile and destructive force. Jeffrey Burton Russell states that the different conceptions of the devil can be summed up as a principle of evil independent from God, an aspect of God, a created being turning evil (such as a fallen angel), and a symbol of human evil. This Devil's face pot quote, "Please allow me to introduce myself", is the first line of the 1969 Rolling Stones song "Sympathy for the Devil".
