The Colonel character jug - Beswick 1967

The Colonel character jug modeled by Graham Tongue and produced by Beswick of Longton, England, in 1967 commissioned by Peter, Griffin, Woodward, a national sales representative company for print, radio and television advertising, to celebrate its 35th anniversary. The company's long time key branding and advertising image, The Colonel is a true Southern gentleman depicted as a smiling mustachioed dapper gent who wore a Homburg hat and a carnation in his lapel. This was a promotional piece given to staff, key media executives and station clients by the company.
