The American Sailor toby jug - Kevin Francis Ceramics 1988

The American Sailor toby jug modeled by Carl Peers and produced by Peggy Davies Ceramics for Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a limited edition of 250 in 1988. Seated on a sea chest with handles and the word "Dollars" on the sides, the American Sailor is dressed in a blue jacket and white pants worn in the 18th and early 19th centuries. A tree branch forms the handle of the jug.
