Stonewall Jackson toby jug - Kevin Francis Ceramics 1993

Stonewall Jackson toby jug modeled by Andy Moss and produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 1993 limited edition of 750. Thomas Jonathan "Stonewall" Jackson (1824-1863) was a general officer in the Confederate States Army during the American Civil War. He played a prominent role in nearly all military engagements in the Eastern theater of the war until his death. Military historians regard him as one of the most gifted tactical commanders in U.S. history. After Jackson's death, his military exploits developed a legendary quality, becoming an important element of the pseudohistorical ideology of the "Lost Cause". A rifle and the Confederate flag form the handle of the jug.
