Standing Toby jug faience - Desvres circa 1890

Standing Toby faience jug produced in a full colorway by Desvres circa 1890. The Standing Toby is an Ordinary Toby who has stood up. He is holding a pipe in his left hand and cup of ale in his right. A tree branch forms the handle of the jug. The mark is the intertwined initials CF of Charles Fourmaintraux-Courquin dating the piece between 1863 and 1900.
