Split Decision face pot - Kevin Francis circa 2001

Split Decision face pot produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 2001, featuring Al Gore on the left and George W. Bush on the right. In the Bush v. Gore legal case decided on December 12, 2000, the Supreme Court reversed an order by the Florida Supreme Court for a selective manual recount of that state's U.S. presidential election ballots. The 5-4 decision effectively awarded Florida's 25 Electoral College votes to Republican candidate George W. Bush, thereby ensuring his victory over Democratic candidate Al Gore in the 2000 presidential election. The scales of justice is the face pot quote of this pot.
