Slave Woman toby jug produced in Staffordshire England circa 1850. This jug depicts a kneeling black woman whose hands are chained and who appears to be making an appeal for leniency. The jug also features a pewter rim and lid at the top of the jug. This is a very rare jug, only two are known.
