American Toby Jug Museum 

Sinner toby jug in yellow jacket produced in Pearlware by John Walton circa 1810. Similar to the Drunken Parson, the Sinner holds a glass in his left hand and a jug in his right hand. He is unsuccessfully attempting to pour into his glass while looking to his right. His tricorn hat is askew on his head. The Sinner does not wear the clergyman' frock or white wig of the Drunken Parson. The Pearlware finish refers to the final clear glazing that contained cobalt and gave a slight blue coloring to glaze that tended to pool between fingers and in the creases in the face.
