Sherlock Holmes teapot - Artone Pottery circa 1980

Sherlock Holmes teapot produced by Artone Pottery of Burslem, England, circa 1980. From Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's imagination comes this most accomplished detective, Sherlock Holmes. The world's first consulting detective, Holmes, along with his eager narrator Dr. Watson, was uncanny in his ability to ferret out clues and deduce the perpetrator of some dastardly deed. Having solved thousands of cases and never far from his pipe and magnifying glass, Holmes is constantly stopping to investigate some vital clue in the case he is presently pursuing. Holmes' pipe forms the handle of the teapot.
