Scottie lamp base produced by Shorter & Son of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1945. A Scotsman, or Scottie or Scot, is a man who is a native or inhabitant of Scotland. He is dressed in traditional clothing of the 19th century. The Scottie lamp base was created by re-modeling the Scottie large toby jug, closing off the top and opening up the bottom.
