Scooby face pot - Kevin Francis 2002

Scooby pot produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 2002 limited edition for Berns and Allen. Sea turtles are reptiles of the order Testudines and of the suborder Cryptodira. The seven existing species of sea turtles are the flatback, green, hawksbill, leatherback, loggerhead, Kemp's Ridley, and olive Ridley sea turtles. All of the seven species listed above, except for the flatback, are present in US waters, and are listed as endangered and/or threatened under the Endangered Species Act. The flatback itself exists in the waters of Australia, Papua New Guinea and Indonesia. Sea turtles can be categorized as hard-shelled or leathery-shelled. The only dermochelyid species of sea turtle is the leatherback. Save The Sea Turtles International is focused on making the maximum positive effort for sea life and the international community. Scooby's face pot quote, "Making Trax", refers to both the tracks that turtles leave in the sand and the web site Turtle Trax, which is devoted to the preservation of sea turtles.
