Sammy Davis Jnr 3/4 body toby jug produced by Bairstow Manor Pottery of Hanley, England, circa 2015 in a limited edition of 1,000. Samuel George Davis Jr. (1925-1990) was an American singer, dancer, actor, comedian, film producer and television director. Davis was awarded the Spingarn Medal by the NAACP and was nominated for a Golden Globe Award and an Emmy Award for his television performances. He was a recipient of the Kennedy Center Honors in 1987, and in 2001, he was posthumously awarded the Grammy Lifetime Achievement Award. He was known for his friendship with fellow artists Dean Martin and Frank Sinatra, who together with several others formed the Rat Pack. Note the pair of eighth notes that form the handle of the jug. The jug was modeled by Ray Noble.
