Sailor character jug modeled by Diana Capener and produced by Audley Porcelain of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 1980. A sailor, seaman, mariner, or seafarer is a person who works aboard a watercraft as part of its crew, and may work in any one of a number of different fields that are related to the operation and maintenance of a ship. This sailor has traveled the world and has many tales to tell. A rolled up navigational map forms the handle of the jug.
