Russian Sailor rare majolica character jug produced by Sarreguemines of Lorraine, France, circa 1905, model number 4317. A sailor, seaman, mariner, or seafarer is a person who works aboard a watercraft as part of its crew and may work in any one of a number of different fields that are related to the operation and maintenance of a ship. This sailor has traveled the world and has many tales to tell. The Russian sailor is dressed in the uniform typical of the late 1800s.
