Rooster toby jug version 1 large - Ditmar-Urbach circa 1930

Rooster version 1 large size toby jug produced by Ditmar-Urbach of Trnovany, Czechoslovakia, circa 1930. A rooster is an adult male chicken, which is a domesticated junglefowl species. People now keep chickens primarily as a source of food and as pets. Traditionally they were also bred for cockfighting, which is still practiced in some places. The rooster's long tail feathers form the handle of the jug.
