Rooster Chante Clair majolica toby jug produced by Onnaing of Onnaing, France, circa 1915, model number 658. With "Le Gaulois" on a banner on the rooster's right side and "Chant Clair Pour La France" inscribed on the shield on the right this jug encouraged patriotic French folks to sing clearly for France during World War I.
