Queen Elizabeth II face pot - Kevin Francis circa 2001

Queen Elizabeth II face pot produced by Kevin Francis Ceramics of Stoke-on-Trent, England, circa 2001. Queen Elizabeth II, born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, (1926-2022) was Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms from February 6, 1952 until her death in 2022. She was queen regnant of 32 sovereign states during her lifetime, 15 of them at the time of her death. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female monarch in history. Although she faced occasional republican sentiment and media criticism of her family, support for the monarchy in the United Kingdom remained consistently high throughout her lifetime, as did her personal popularity. The Queen's face pot quote, "Rule Britannia", is a British patriotic song, originating from the 1740 poem "Rule, Britannia" by James Thomson and set to music by Thomas Arne. It is most strongly associated with the Royal Navy, but is also used by the British Army.
