Queen Elizabeth II 80th character jug - Bairstow Manor Pottery circa 2006

Queen Elizabeth II two-sided character jug produced by Bairstow Manor Pottery of Hanley, England, in a 2006 limited edition of 250. Queen Elizabeth II, born Elizabeth Alexandra Mary, (1926-2022) was Queen of the United Kingdom and other Commonwealth realms from February 6, 1952 until her death in 2022. She was queen reagant of 32 sovereign states during her lifetime, 15 of them at the time of her death. Her reign of 70 years and 214 days was the longest of any British monarch and the longest verified reign of any female monarch in history. Although she faced occasional republican sentiment and media criticism of her family, support for the monarchy in the United Kingdom remained consistently high throughout her lifetime, as did her personal popularity. Featuring a young Queen Elizabeth at her coronation on one side and the Queen on her 80th birthday on the other, this character jug commemorates Queen Elizabeth's 80th birthday in 2006 and was modeled by Ray Noble. The Union Jack flag forms the handle of the jug.
