Quaker Man toby jug produced in a brown colorway by W. Goebel Porzellanfabrik of Bavaria, Germany, circa 1955. The Quaker Man is a member of the Religious Society of Friends, a Christian sect founded by George Fox around 1650. Note the Bible tucked under his left arm. This is the largest of four known sizes.
