Punch toby jug produced by Staffordshire Fine Ceramics of Tunstall, England, circa 1975. From the popular English puppet show Punch is often found hitting other members of his party with his stick. The puppet show generally features Punch interacting with a series of characters in a variety of mishaps. Even his doting wife Judy cannot keep him from mischief. Punch is sitting on a stack of books and holding his stick with his right hand.
