Punch stoneware character jug produced in England circa 1860. From the popular English puppet show Punch is often found hitting other members of his party with his stick. The puppet show generally features Punch interracting with a series of characters in a variety of mishaps. Even his doting wife Judy cannot keep him from mischief.
