Puck character jug produced in France 1901. Puck is a clown and entertainer of the nobility. He is also known as Fou De Roi or Court Jester. This jug is designed in the likeness of Sarreguemines' Puck character jug. This Puck character jug is signed "GHC 1901" around Puck's hat. It was probably a factory blank that was hand decorated by artist GHC. Note the gilded handle.
