Polin majolica toby jug produced by Desvres circa 1915 model number 329. Pierre-Paul Marsales (1863-1927) was a French actor comic and singer who used the stage name Polin. He was most famous for spending countless hours entertaining the French troops during World War I providing a few hours of entertainment for them and raising their spirits.
