Policeman and Thief majolica toby jug produced by Fives-Lille circa 1895. The alert Policeman with his sword at his side is walking his beat keenly searching for any trouble or wrong doing. Meanwhile the sly Thief is successfully hiding behind him waiting for him to move along before robbing the nearby shop. The Thief cleverly forms the handle of this jug. This is a rare jug.
