Pig toby jug - Worthington & Comber circa 1955

Pig toby jug designed by Jack Moss and produced by Worthington & Comber of Sydney, Australia, circa 1955 using its Lyndale tradename. The pig is an omnivorous, domesticated, even-toed, hoofed mammal. The size and weight of pigs largely depends on their breed. Pigs grunt and make snorting sounds. When used as livestock, pigs are farmed primarily for the production of meat. A group of pigs is called a passel, a team, or a sounder. Pigs, especially miniature breeds, are kept as pets. The pig's tail curls up to form the handle of the jug.
