Penguin toby jug produced in Japan for the Takahashi Trading Company of San Francisco, California, circa 2000. Penguins are a group of aquatic flightless birds living almost exclusively in the Southern Hemisphere, especially Antarctica. Highly adapted for life in the water, their wings have evolved into flippers. This mama penguin is protectively holding her chick between her feet.
