American Toby Jug Museum 

Paul Kruger majolica character jug produced by Sarreguemines of Lorraine, France, in 1902, model number 3185. Affectionately known as "Oom Paul" Paul Kruger (1825-1904) was the State President of the South African Republic of Transvaal and gained international recognition as the face of the Boer resistance in the Second Boer War. PAUL KRUGER is inscribed along the back of his collar. A smaller version of this pitcher is known.
