Paul Kruger majolica character jug produced in France circa 1900. Affectionately known as "Oom Paul" Paul Kruger (1825-1904) was the State President of the South African Republic of Transvaal and gained international recognition as the face of the Boer resistance in the Second Boer War. This jug is impressed on the bottom "Depose 115".
