Otter large character jug - Quail Ceramics circa 2020

Otter large sized character jug produced by Quail Ceramics of the Midlands, England, circa 2020. Otters are carnivorous mammals in the subfamily Lutrinae. They are semiaquatic, aquatic, or marine, with diets based on fish and invertebrates. Otters have long, slim bodies and relatively short limbs. Their most striking anatomical features are the powerful webbed feet used to swim, and their seal-like abilities for holding breath underwater. Most have sharp claws on their feet and all except the sea otter have long, muscular tails.
