American Toby Jug Museum 

Oriental with Monkey toby jug in a large size produced by Schafer & Vater of Rudolstadt, Germany, circa 1925. Oriental is a term referring to a person from the Far East, whether a mainland Chinese national, a person from one of the many island nations in Asia, or a person native to geographical East Asia or of perceived East Asian race. This weary man has a monkey excitedly riding on his back. The monkey's long tail forms the handle of the jug. The medium size jug stands 5 1/2" tall, the small jug stands 4" tall, and the miniature size stands 3 3/4" tall.
