Oriental with Baby toby jug in a large size produced by Schafer & Vater of Rudolstadt, Germany, circa 1925. Oriental is a term referring to a person from the Far East, whether a mainland Chinese national, a person from one of the many island nations in Asia, or a person native to geographical East Asia or of perceived East Asian race. This happy man is holding his baby boy in his lap. His queue, or long braided hair, forms the handle of the jug. The medium size jug stands 5" tall and the small jug stands 3 1/2" tall.
