Ordinary Toby chalkware toby jug version 1 with a red jacket produced by Manor Ware of Newton Abbot, Devon, England, circa 1975. This Ordinary Toby jug features a common man of the time wearing 18th century clothing and a tricorn hat. He is sitting on a high-backed chair holding a pitcher of ale in his left hand and resting it on his left knee. These were produced as souvenir items for the tourist trade with the names of various English cities written on the front. This jug was sold in Margate.
