Nobleman Toby jug - Hornsea Pottery circa 1950

Nobleman Toby jug designed by Colin Rawson and produced by Hornsea Pottery of Hornsea, England, between 1950 and 1952. The Nobleman Toby is a Cross-legged Toby with a serious facial expression. Design by Rawson in his own likeness, this seated gent is holding a full mug of ale in his left hand. This jug is finished in Hornsea's distinctive pastel blue glaze.
