Napoleon Bonaparte toby jug in a white jacket produced by Morris and Willmore for Alfred E. Evans of Philadelphia, Pennsylvania, circa 1900. Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) was a French military and political leader who rose to prominence at the end of the French Revolution. He was Emperor of France from 1804 to 1814 and again in 1815. He led France in the Napoleonic Wars seizing control of most of Europe before being defeated at the Battle of Waterloo and exiled to the island of Saint Helena. These jugs were produced in seven sizes with this one being the second largest.
