Napoleon Bonaparte toby jug produced by Saint-Clement of France circa 1880. Napoleon Bonaparte (1769-1821) was a French military and political leader who rose to prominence at the end of the French Revolution. He was Emperor of France from 1804 to 1814 and again in 1815. He led France in the Napoleonic Wars seizing control of most of Europe before being defeated at the Battle of Waterloo and exiled to the island of Saint Helena. This Napoleon is wearing a long blue and yellow striped jacket and holding two bottles of wine in his left arm with a third bottle in his left jacket pocket.
