Mrs. Hudson tiny character jug modeled by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, in a 1995 limited edition of 2,500 for Lawleys By Post. Mrs. Hudson is the long-suffering landlady and housekeeper at the 221B Baker Street residence of Sherlock Holmes, part of Sir Arthur Conan Doyle's world of the famous sleuth. Per Holmes, "her cuisine is a little limited, but she has as good an idea of breakfast as a Scotchwoman." Characters of every type have frequented Mrs. Hudson's place, calling on Holmes for help and assistance only the finest criminal detective could offer. She has a great fondness for both Holmes and Dr. Watson, and is concerned for their well-being. She also is integral to solving the murder mystery in "Mrs. Hudson and the Spirits' Curse", wherein, assisted by her loyal servant, Flottie, Mrs. Hudson finds herself one step ahead of her own employer at times, but soon realizes that catching a killer is one thing, but keeping a killer from catching you is quite another. A Victorian lamp forms the handle of the jug.
