Mr. Furrow The Farmer toby jug - Royal Doulton 1983 - 1991

Mr. Furrow The Farmer 3/4 body toby jug designed by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, from 1983 to 1991. King's Field Farm lies in the hills to the west of Doultonville. Its soils are rich, and its woods and fields border a river. The farmland is ancient, being recorded in the Domesday Book of William the Conqueror. Farmer Furrow is descended from an unbroken line of farmers and workers of the soil who have cared for this small part of the universe from generation to generation. John Furrow is middle aged, bluff, red cheeked and hardy from many years of weather and work. He is proudly independent and of a determined nature; his portly figure speaks well of his good living. This is one of twenty-five Doultonville toby jugs.
