Mr. Cheeryble toby jug - England circa 1965

Mr. Cheeryble produced in England circa 1965. From Nicholas Nickleby, the Cheeryble brothers, Charles and Edwin, are benevolent businessmen who employ and befriend Nicholas Nickleby and his family. Frank Cheeryble, who marries Kate Nickleby, is their nephew. Nicholas Nickleby, or The Life and Adventures of Nicholas Nickleby, is the third novel by Charles Dickens, originally published as a serial from 1838 to 1839. The character of Nickleby is a young man who must support his mother and sister after his father dies. The handle of the jug is formed by Mr. Cheeryble's long red scarf and integrated into the back of the jug.
