Monsieur Chassuer The Chef toby jug - Royal Doulton 1987 - 1991

Monsieur Chassuer The Chef 3/4 body toby jug designed by William K. Harper and produced by Royal Doulton of Burslem, England, from 1987 to 1991. The Grand Hotel was built in the nineteenth century near the imposing Victorian railway station; it is an establishment of the highest quality frequented by many of the richest of Doultonville's citizens. The hotel's chef, Maurice Chasseur is famous for his exquisite cuisine, having trained from a kitchen boy in the hotels of Paris to become of "cordon bleu" standard. He has a charming English wife and two daughters who are students at the Doultonville Ballet School and hope to become famous dancers. Occasionally Maurice can be seen on the golf course with Major Green. They are good friends and talk about roses and fricassee. This is one of twenty-five Doultonville toby jugs.
