Monkey teapot produced by for Minton of Stoke-on-Trent, England, in a 1993 limited edition of 1,793. This performing monkey has worked both for the circus and street vendors. He is especially skilled at entertaining children. This teapot is based on a Minton original design from around 1860. The monkey is wearing a Chinese waistcoat and clutching a coconut with his head forming the cover of the teapot and his tail the handle.
